HOURS OF OPERATION

The hours of operation for the Event Hall are from 9:00am until 1:00am.   Events may not last beyond 1:00 a.m.   This 1:00 a.m. deadline includes cleanup time.  The CLIENT will be charged $250.00 per hour if the Event and/or cleanup time exceeds 1:00 a.m. or the timeframe paid by the CLIENT for occupation. CLIENT is responsible for making sure guests leave the building at an appropriate time in order for CLIENT to finish clean up before the time deadline.  Arrangements must be made by the CLIENT to have all rental equipment picked up and removed from the Facility the same day as the Event or before the Event’s time deadline unless there is prior approval.  MEME J’S EVENT HALL is not responsible for any damage or theft of any items left by the CLIENT or any guest attending the CLIENT’S event.

SERVICES PROVIDED

STAFF

MEME J’S EVENT HALL Staff will be readily available during the entire event.  The Staff member will open the Facility and /or CLIENT will be given a key code for entry and provided information and direction as needed.  The Staff member will not be available to serve or decorate and will not be involved in the Event.

MEME J'S EVENT HALL reserves the right to take photographs of rental events for its own record and for use in the future.


tables, chairs and stage

Any extra Tables, chairs and (If Stage used) will be provided by the CLIENT through an Outside Contractor.  All contractors/ vendors must meet the standards set forth by the facility, including, but not limited to, supplying proof of license and current insurance.  MEME J’S EVENT HALL must review and approve, in advance of any work performed, all contracts by said contractors/ vendors.  Deliveries, set up, and break down plans must be coordinated within two weeks prior to date of event with MEME J’S EVENT HALL.  


deep cleaning

MEME J’S EVENT HALL will perform deep cleaning, mopping, buffing and waxing of the floors.  CLIENT must sweep floors, remove all trash to dumpsters and remove anything brought in by self, guest, or hired vendors.


PARKING

There is no cost for parking in the area surrounding MEME J’S EVENT HALL.  

ENTIRE SECURITY DEPOSIT WILL BE FORFEITED If the parking area is left with excessive amount of trash.

DECORATIONS

Decorations may NOT be fastened to the walls with nails, or staples.  M3  and masking tape are permitted but must be removed at the conclusion of the event.  Candles must be completely enclosed in a glass or non-flammable holder.  The use of glitter, metallic confetti, straw, rice, birdseed, or hay is NOT prohibited in the ballrooms and/or on the grounds.  No rice, birdseed, or other similar items shall be thrown in or around the Facility.  Immediately following the completion of the function, all decorations, trash, or other debris must be thrown away in the appropriate receptacles provided.  Anything left behind will be thrown away.  When in doubt about decorations that is acceptable, CLEINT must consult with MEME J’S EVENT HALL.  The cost to clean and repair will be deducted from the security deposit at a minimum of $250.

CLEAN-UP RESPONSIBILITY

Clean-up is the CLIENT’S responsibility.  CLIENT is expected to provide sufficient supervision to minimize spillage of food and beverages on the Facility floors during the rental event.  Any CLIENT leaving excessive trash in the main hall, kitchen, Lounge, restrooms, lobby, and/or outside of doors in the parking lot is subject to additional charges.  All or a portion of the security deposit will be withheld if the Facility is not adequately cleaned, or if damage occurs.  CLIENT must finish the clean-up no later than the time the CLIENT has identified as the ending time for his/her event.  

The CLIENT is responsible for the following cleaning duties:

  • All tables must be cleared of all items such as table linens (unless supplied by the venue), dishes, decorations, etc.
  • All trash must be placed in the receptacles provided and taken out to the trash dumpsters.  If any trash will not fit in the receptacles, such as boxes or large items, these must be broken down and taken out to the trash dumpsters located in front of the building.  
  • All decorations must be taken down and removed from the Facility.
  • CLIENT is responsible for all kitchen clean-ups.  The kitchen area must be thoroughly cleansed and returned to its original level of cleanliness.  This includes all work areas, oven, microwave, refrigerator, sinks and floors.














FOOD

All Food must be prepared by, brought onto the premises, and served by CLIENT or a caterer that is designated by the CLIENT.  CLIENT or their caterer shall coordinate with MEME J’S EVENT HALL (3) days in advance in order to confirm catering staff arrival time.  A minimum of one (1) catering staff person is required to be on duty at all times during the catered Event.  MEME J’S EVENT HALL will NOT provide any serving materials. 

KITCHEN USAGE

No additional charge for the use of the kitchen.  Kitchen usage is limited to PREPARATION ONLY.  This means that food may be assembled and may be warmed or kept warm using the oven and microwave, refrigerators, and freezers must be thoroughly cleaned after use.


ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE POLICY

MEME J’S EVENT HALL shall abide by all laws of the State of Texas and those of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) concerning the use and serving of alcohol.  Each CLIENT wishing to have alcohol at their event must abide by the following regulations regarding alcohol use in MEME J’S EVENT HALL facility.  CLIENT acknowledges that MEME J’S EVENT L is NOT liable for persons consuming alcoholic beverages.

⦁ All Alcoholic beverages must be served by a licensed TABC bartender.  A copy of the license must be on file with MEME J’S EVENT HALL ten (10) business days prior to the event.

⦁ CLIENT may provide bartender with unopened bottles or kegs of alcohol and may remove unopened bottles at the end of the event.  Opened bottles of alcoholic beverages should be poured out before removing them at the end of the event.

⦁ CLIENT must ensure that at events of three (3) hours or longer, alcoholic beverages service will be stopped one (1) hour before the end of the event.

⦁ NO alcoholic beverages may be brought into or taken out of the event by guests or participants.

⦁ CLIENT will ensure that All beverage servers/sellers must be 21 years of age or older.

⦁ ALCOHOL ONLY will not be permitted on the MEME J’S EVENT HALL property.

⦁ CLIENT will ensure that all servers know that ALL SERVICE STAFF is required by law to refuse service to any guest who appears to be intoxicated.

⦁ CLIENT will ensure that all guests will consume ALL ALCOHOL BEVERAGES on the inside of the facility.

RESPONSIBLE BEVERAGE SERVICE POLICES AND PROCEDURES

⦁ Proof of Age from a government agency will be required for anyone appearing to be 30 years of age or younger.  Age identification must include date of birth, physical description, and photograph.  Servers must confirm that the I.D. is that of the presenter.

⦁ It is illegal to server or sell alcoholic beverages to an obviously intoxicated person.

⦁ It is illegal to drive under the influence of alcohol or with a blood alcohol level of .08% or higher.

⦁ Alcohol servers/sellers must be 21 years of age or older.

⦁ Beverage servers/sellers have the right to refuse service/sale to anyone who appears to be intoxicated.

  • A licensed TABC bartender MUST BE ONSITE DURING ALCOHOL SERVING.




PARKING

Free Parking is available on the MEME J’S EVENT HALL property.  No parking on or driving on grass allowed with consequences of damage charges being deducted from the Security Deposit for Violations by User/Contracted Vendors/Guests.  No parking in driveway areas leading to parking area to allow for free traffic flow and access by emergency vehicles.  

CLIENT agrees not to hold MEME J’S EVENT HALL responsible for theft or other damage to any vehicle, or possessions therein, during, prior or after the event.


SMOKING

Smoking is not allowed inside MEME J’S EVENT HALL.  MEME J’S EVENT HALL will provide adequate smoking containers for use outdoors as needed

NON TRANSFERABILITY

Facility rentals made to a particular User are made exclusively for the User.  Client shall not have the right to assign its rights or obligations under the Agreement without the prior written consent of MEME J’S EVENT HALL.  If the Client relinquishes a date, the date reverts back to MEME J’S EVENT HALL and the scheduling of a new rental date becomes subject to general scheduling availability.  

MISCELLANEOUS POLICIES

  • CLIENT and his/her guests are restricted to the rental area.
  • MEME J’S EVENT HALL will not be responsible for items left behind, before, during or after an Event.
  • MEME J’S EVENT HALL may enter any of the rented premises at any time on any occasion.  


  • MEME J’S EVENT HALL reserves the right to take photographs of rental Events for its own records and for use in future.
  • CLIENT must make sure that the number of guests does not over-exceed the stated amount.
  • In cases where property has been damaged or abused beyond normal wear, CLIENT will be billed for all damage and additional clean-up.
  • MEME J’S EVENT HALL does not provide storage.  It is not available before, or after a rental event.  All decorations, props, rented furniture, beverage dispensers, and personal belongings must be removed at the end of the event.

This Agreement shall be construed under and in accordance with the laws of he State of Texas and all obligations of the parties created by this Agreement are performable in Dallas County.  This Agreement constitutes the sole and only agreement of the parties and supersedes any prior understandings or written or oral agreements between the parties.  No amendment, modification, or alteration of the terms of this Agreement shall be binding unless it is in writing, dated subsequent to the effective date of the Lease, and duly execute by the parties hereto.
